Abstract
Diyarbakır gibi köklü tarihi geçmişi olan bir şehirde hiç şüphesiz zaman içerisinde farklı meslekler ve zanaatlar yapılmıştır. Bu mesleklerin sayısını ve türlerini öğrenmek hem o şehrin ekonomik yapısının anlaşılmasına, hem de şehirde yaşayan insanların iktisadi uğraşlarının muhtevası hakkında fikir edinilmesine imkân sağlamaktadır. 18. yüzyılda Diyarbakır şehrindeki esnafların sektörlere göre dağılımlarının bilinmesi ve zanaatkârların hangi sektörlerde yoğunlaştığının tespiti şehir ve bölge tarihinin aydınlatılması açısından önem arz etmektedir. İncelenen dönemde şehirde faaliyet gösteren meslek dalları başta vergi tevzi kayıtları olmak üzere şeriyye sicillerindeki muhtelif belgelerden tespit edilebilmiştir. Bu dönemde şehirde faaliyet gösterdiği anlaşılan esnaf ve zanaatkâr sayısının azımsanmayacak kadar fazla olduğu diğer Osmanlı şehirlerindeki esnaf sayıları ile mukayese edildiğinde Diyarbakır şehrinin ciddi sayıda esnaf ve zanaatkâra ev sahipliği yaptığı görülmektedir.

Abstract
In a city like Diyarbakir that has a long historical background, undoubtedly different occupations and crafts were built over time. Learning the number and types of these professions allows both an understanding of the economic structure of the city and an idea of the content of the economic activities of the people living in the city. The distribution of tradesmen in Diyarbakir city by sectors and the determination of the sectors in which the craftsmen are concentrated in the 18th century are important for illuminating the history of the city and the region. The professions operating in the city during the period examined can be determined from various documents in the sheriff's registers, especially the tax registration records. When compared to the number of tradesmen in other Ottoman cities where the number of artisans and tradesman who were deemed to be active in the city in this period is considerably high, it is seen that the city of Diyarbakır has hosted a considerable number of artisans and tradesman.
