Abstract
Halkı eğlendirmek ve bu arada sanatçıya ve onları örgütleyen idareciye para kazandırmak amacı güden her çeşit sahne performansı, Osmanlı’da oldukça gelişmiş bir sektörü temsil eder. Tarih nice kabiliyetler görmüştür tozlu Osmanlı sahneleri üzerinde! Bu nüve, zaman içinde evrilecek ve nihayet bir aralık bütün dünyanın en usta illüzyonisti dahi Türkiye topraklarından neşet edecektir. Sahne sanatları hayatın komik ve / veya eğlenceli yüzünü vurgulamak suretiyle halka iyimserlik aşılamış; insanları bezginlikten uzak tutmuştur. Âdetâ bir kollektif psikanaliz gizil (örtük) işlevini; asırlar boyunca; büyük bir etkinlik ve başarım suretiyle deruhte eylemiştir. Osmanlı’nın son demlerinde ata sporu güreş de kurnaz ecnebi menajerler eliyle bu doğrultuda kullanılmıştır. O o müthiş sporcular sayesinde batı dünyasında olumlu bir Türk görüntüsü de, bu vesileyle ortaya atılmış olmaktadır.

Abstract
All sorts of performing arts aiming to entertain the public and providing gain for the organizers constitute a pretty well-developed occupation sector among the Ottomans. History witnessed so many talents on the dusty Ottoman-stages! This core will steadily evolve along the course of time; whereby, eventually, even the most skillful illusionist of the entire world shall emerge from the Turkish territory. Performing arts induced optimism onto the public via highlighting the funny and/or amusing aspect of life; keeping people aloof from boredom; exerting the latent function of a collective pseudo-psychoanalysis for centuries on an ende, in a very affective and successful manner. Towards the end-days of the Ottomans; while the ancestral-sport wrestling got exploited in this line of thought ih the hands of cunning expatriate managers; thanks to those terrific sportsmen, a positive Turk-image also prevailed all over the western world, as a sheer end-product..
