Abstract


THE WISDOM IN THE POEM THE CONTENTION HELL AND HEAVEN OF KHOJA AHMED YASAWI
Khoja Ahmed Yasawi was a prominent Turkish Muslim scholar who was born in Sayram, Kazakhstan in the second half of XI century. His understanding and the teachings of religion helped Turkish tribes to protect their Muslim identity throughout history to the present time and contributed them to practice a sound religious and moral life. He was also known as “Pir-i Turkistan” and "Haja-i Turkistan" due to his wide influence on religious understanding and beliefs of people in Central Asia, the Caucasus, the Balkans and Anatolia. Ahmed Yesevî is the founder of the sect of Yesevîlik, and he is also considered as the first Turkish sect founder. He has a special place and importance among Turks. Yesevî dervishes contributed to the acceptance the Islamic religion of the people of Central Asia and Anatolia. The poems of Ahmed Yesevî in the Divan-ı Hikmet are full of love of Allah and the Prophet Muhammad of religious motifs. This article examines the contention of the wisdom of her poetry on the theme of heaven and hell.
