Abstract

SELÇUKLU WOMAN IN MONGOL INVASION PERIOD AND HE SITUATION OF WOMEN SULTANS
Since its foundation, the struggle against the neighboring states and against the Crusaders has revealed the importance of Seljuks of Turkey in Anatolia as a Turkish citizen. Within this process, Anatolia was under the influence of wars and occupations, and at times the current order left its place in chaos. As a result of wars and subsequent invasion movements, public order and confidence have disappeared and people have been negatively affected. Women, especially during their war and invasion periods, faced many negativity and evil. They had suffered rape, tortured, had to leave their land, and were often taken prisoner and sold in slave markets. At some time, they went to death to protect their country, knowing their kingdom and people from their own souls. Dynasty members could be used as a tool in the direction of the political interests of the enemy, as an indication of the defeat of any woman falling into the hands of the enemy. For this reason, during the periods of war and invasion, the importance of dynasty woman's safety was given. . After the Kösedağ war, the mother of Sultan Gıyâseddin Keyhusrev, Mahperi Hatun, escaped to Cilicia by taking his girlfriend, his concubines and servants along with his treasury.
